We keep it short and honest: we collect as little as possible and we don't track you.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by COMPI BV, Noordstraat 11C, 2800 Mechelen, Belgium, company number 0820.360.573 (RLE Antwerp, Mechelen division), VAT BE 0820.360.573. COMPI BV is the controller of the personal data processed through this website.

Questions about privacy? Email info@com-pi.com.

2. What personal data we process

Contact form: your name, email address, company (optional), the topic, your message and the language of the page you used.

Email: if you email us directly, we process the details you share with us.

Technical data: our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request data (such as browser type and the page requested) in server logs, for security and to keep the website running properly.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To answer your message or request and, where relevant, prepare a proposal: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To keep the website secure and working: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We don't use your data for marketing or newsletters unless you explicitly agree to that. We don't make automated decisions about you or build profiles.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We work with these service providers, who process data only on our instructions:

  • Vercel Inc. – website hosting
  • Resend – delivery of contact-form messages, using servers in the EU (Ireland)
  • Google (Google Workspace) – our mailbox

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data ends up outside the European Economic Area, or can be accessed from there, this happens on the basis of appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We only share data with authorities when the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

  • Messages and contact details: up to 12 months after our last contact, if no collaboration follows.
  • If we work together: for the duration of the contract and afterwards for as long as the law requires (for example for accounting and invoicing).
  • Server logs: briefly, in line with our hosting provider's standard retention period.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict your personal data, and to data portability. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest. To exercise these rights, email info@com-pi.com. We'll reply within one month.

If you're not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels – www.dataprotectionauthority.be (opens in a new tab).

7. Cookies

This website doesn't use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, and doesn't track you. That's why there's no cookie banner. We may set strictly necessary technical cookies if the site needs them to work. These don't require consent.

If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we'll ask for your consent first and update this policy.

The links to LinkedIn and Google Maps take you to third-party websites, which have their own privacy and cookie policies.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date of the most recent change.
